On September 30, the 4Cs, AFT, and AFSCME held a membership meeting to discuss the status of contract negotiations. Since the last update on 9/30, the negotiating team met with management on Tuesday, October 18 and Thursday, October 27.

The parties continue to make progress on non-economic issues including language changes to the benefit of our members, but there continues to be no discussion on economic matters.

The 4Cs full negotiating committee, which has members from each campus and includes full and part-time faculty and staff, will be meeting on Friday, November 4. The full negotiating committee will discuss the unresolved issues and begin discussing what issues should be brought to arbitration in the event that the unions and management do not reach agreement.

The next negotiating session with management is scheduled for Wednesday, November 16.
