The law was signed May 27, 2022, more than a month after the 4Cs Contract was approved by the General Assembly, so Juneteenth had not been discussed during negotiations.

The bargaining units under CSCU came together to negotiate a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the BOR to establish Juneteenth as an official holiday. Please see the MOA here.
