We are fighting to Save our Community Colleges.
The Board of Regents describes our community colleges as failures due to enrollment declines, poor student outcomes, and budgetary deficits. Failed institutions that need to be taken over and centrally managed. Yet, it is the BOR that has failed our community colleges and state universities for over ten years.
CT State – a statewide community college - is not the answer. We have tried for years to help the BOR understand this.
On Saturday December 4th, we go to the Governor's Mansion to demand Governor Ned Lamont meet with community college unions, faculty and staff and deal with the crisis in our community college system.
It is time Governor Lamont take responsibility for what his BOR is doing. It is time Governor Lamont listen to us.
Join us on December 4th to tell Governor Lamont our students and our state deserve better.
Sigh up here!
